There is a tourist office located outside the Copo Centro Commercial close to the 409 turn off from the E15 motorway towards Almerimar which has lots of free literature.

Mario Water Park - The Aqua Park in Roquetas de Mar is a great day out for all the family. 
Go-Karting - near Copo Centro Commercial.
Oasys (Mini Hollywood) - A wild west town recreated with shows, cowboys, a museum, restaurants, a zoo with an array of animals, and a playground for the children. 
Boat Trips - in the marina there are daily boat trips. Depending on the charter company, some include food and drink. Sunset trips are organised. Check out Autarkie Motor Sail Schooner in Darsena 1.
Ten Pin Bowling - At Gran Plaza-Roquetas de Mar and an amusement arcade.
Cinemas - There are cinemas at the Copo Centre and Gran Plaza.
Markets
There are many markets within driving distance of Almerimar. Most of them start around 10am and finish by 2pm so don´t leave it too late to arrive. The markets are open every week except for the last Sunday, Weds, Thurs of each month. They are all quite similar in that there are a good selection of clothes, leather goods, footwear, food, ceramics and pictures, but some are smaller than others.
Sunday - Vicar (the largest market) - take the motorway towards Almeria and turn off at Vicar. Head into the village, the market is easy to find as some of the stalls are near to the road as you drive in.
Wednesday - El Ejido - drive out of Almerimar and go over the motorway and follow signs to El Ejido. 
Thursday - Roquetas de Mar - take the motorway towards Almeria and turn off at the Roquetas junction.
Ugijar Market - a smaller market that happens twice a month in the village located in the Alpujarras.
Shopping
There is a local supermarket called Mercadona located in the port which stocks pretty much most things and has a fresh seafood counter.
For a bigger range of shops, the Copo Centro Commercial which you pass on the way down into Almerimar is worth a visit and has some restaurants and bars.

The town of El Ejido has good shopping and typically very Spanish.
At Roquetas de Mar, approximately 20 minute drive away, there is a large shopping complex called Gran Plaza which hosts a vast range of clothes, shoes, jewellery. homewares, electrical and computer goods.
